Saturday, April 25th, 1981: Peterborough's Chance Hudson used his full arsenal today to shoot down Ajax 4-0. All day long, he exhibited fine command of all his pitches, giving up 4 walks and striking out 3. Hudson allowed the Ajax 5 hits in the victory.

Friday, April 24th, 1981: Timmins pitcher Mario Campoy put on a show today and walked away with a 1-0 shutout victory over the Keswick Ice Fishers, throttling them on 6 hits. He just cruised through their lineup, fanning 3 and walking 2 in a strong outing.
"He was very efficient and he hit his spots," his manager said. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."

Monday, April 20th, 1981: 23-year-old Marcos Lara sent shock waves through Golden Horseshoe League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Mackenzie League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Lara made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .448 average, 13 hits in 29 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 runs batted in.
Where the Walnut Grove Steeds shortstop goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Lara certainly made his mark last week.
