Sunday, April 19th, 1981: Marcos Aranda of the Vaughan Millers was on fire against Pickering. He shut them down 4-0 on 3 hits and no runs with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Aranda said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
