Readying a New Generation For Baseball Jobs With OOTP
Zach Binkley, an assistant professor at Lewis University in Illinois, recently started a new Data and Analytics in Sport class at the school, and to help bolster the curriculum, he looked to Out of the Park Baseball. "I was envisioning the ability to use a simulation to build projections and plans and strategize," he told us. "The ability to … have a top-down organization model based on simulated data was something I was looking for so students could put themselves in the shoes of professionals."
To learn more, including how two of his students ended more than a century of frustration with OOTP, check out the article on our blog.

Join Our Team and Work On Our Next Amazing Game
Our long-time fans know that Beyond the Sideline Football is the next game in our sports sim pipeline. However, the game's lead developer, Francis Cole, has encountered an unfortunate health situation, and we would like to bring a second programmer on board to take the reins in his absence. If you think you might fit the bill, check out the job opening on our forum.
Ready for an exciting finish to the 2015 pennant races? So are we! We'll see you next month, in time for the start of the World Series.
