OOTP 16's Third Update Available Now!
MLB Manager 2015 Update #1 Available for Android, Coming Soon for iOS.

Out of the Park Baseball 16 is "a ridiculously detailed simulation," wrote Bryan Hoch, who covers the New York Yankees for MLB.com's Bombers Beat. Gaming Trend's Patrick Rost concurred, giving OOTP 16 a 100/100 score and saying that it's "the gold standard of sports simulator games."

Meanwhile, Carter Dotson reviewed MLB Manager 2015 for Touch Arcade and gave it four out of five stars, remarking that it's "a solid game that can provide killer value." And Alex Kaufman of It's Pronounced Lajaway said he will "happily recommend [MLB Manager 2015] to any baseball fan with an iOS or Android device." He gave it a 9/10 score.

OOTP 16's third update, version number 16.3.16, features final Opening Day rosters, along with a variety of fixes and improvements. Check out the post on our forum for all the details.

If you have the Steam or Mac App Store version, please don't download this update - You'll need to update through Steam or the Mac App Store once the updates are available there.

And, yes, OOTP 16 is now available in the Mac App Store, if you prefer that version of the game.

MLB Manager 2015's first update is available now for Android and pending Apple's review in the AppStore. It includes various fixes and improvements, along with rosters that are accurate as of a week before Opening Day. (The second update, coming soon, will have final Opening Day rosters.) You can get it through the App Store once it is released later this week or Google Play now. Our forum post has all the details too.

Congratulations to the OTBA Royal Squirrels of Sweden!

We never thought we'd include a headline like that in an OOTP newsletter, but welcome to the wild and wonderful world of our online leagues. We recently finished the third annual Grand Championship League, which this year assembled 32 GMs from various OOTP online leagues and put them through a quick 62-game regular season before embarking on a tournament with all the clubs.

OTBA's representative, the Royal Squirrels of Sweden, finished the regular season with a 27-35 record and entered the tournament as the 28th seed, but they rode a series of upsets that culminated with knocking off the top-ranked ABL Bandits (first-place season finishers at 42-20) in the Semi-Finals.

In the Finals, they faced the Heartland Kernels, who ended the regular season 29-33 and began the tournament as the 24th seed before staging a few upsets of their own. Each round of the tournament was a best-of-nine series, and the Squirrels needed seven tightly-fought games to emerge victorious.
