In recent reviews, Gaming Nexus gave OOTP 15 a 95% rating and said "Whether you want to just jump right into a game or season, or want to create a league from scratch, Out of the Park 15 has the ability to do it and once again raises the bar for baseball management simulators."
Meanwhile, Franchise Hockey Manager 2014 received praise on Dynasty Sports Empire who concluded "This is the deepest, most detailed, and most realistic sports simulation game I've ever played."
Ex-Big Leaguer Bryan Rekar 'Blown Away' by OOTP
Bryan Rekar, who pitched for the Rockies, Rays, and Royals during an eight-year career from 1995-2002, joins Curt Schilling and Pat Neshek as pitchers with big league experience who play OOTP.
Rekar had played other games in the past, but none of them satisfied his virtual GM desires. He recalls: "Then I found OOTP and was totally blown away with not just the realism of the play, but the unbelievable detail of every aspect of the game: from the amount of true players and their true, detailed abilities, to the off-season and drafts every year. It is exactly what I was looking for and more."
You can read more about his career and his experiences with OOTP, including an unbelievable collapse that made him believe the Cubs Curse is in the game, in the latest article on our site.
OOTP 15 Tips and Tricks:
Linking Player Profiles From Retired Numbers
The ability to retire player numbers is a fun little feature we added in OOTP 15, but did you know that you can link to a player profile from the description next to his retired number? Simply format the name like the example below, where the number is the player's four-digit ID found on the editor screen of their profile: <Steve Carlton:player#1775>
Thanks to forum member apgn16 for the tip!
Enjoy your weekend with some great gaming!
