Callahan has a long list of Hollywood credits, including a role on several episodes of the TV series "Revolution." He recalls: "I think I traded Stephen Strasburg away while on the set of 'Revolution.'" You can read more about his OOTP experiences in the latest article on our forum.

And Callahan isn't the only one extolling OOTP's virtues lately: SABR member Chuck Hildebrandt is using OOTP 14 for two exciting projects. The first is his series of Retroactive All-Star Games, which fill in the gap from 1916 through 1932, the year before the first All-Star Game was played. We encourage everyone to vote for their favorite players before he fires up OOTP to sim each game; you'll find links on the project page.

The other is his English Baseball League (est. 1888): A History, whose dynasty reports can be found on our forum. Hildebrandt says: "My goal is to replicate the general evolution of the Football League in England as though it were a baseball league, with the same divisional structure, same clubs coming through, going through the same kinds of money and union and ethnic/international issues, etc., letting them play with free will as though I am merely 'God,' basically setting the parameters, winding them up and saying, 'go.'"

While you're reading about Callahan and Hildebrandt, make sure you download the latest OOTP 14 update, version 14.6, especially if you've upgraded to the latest version of Mac OS X, known as Mavericks.

Meanwhile, we have been working on a Franchise Hockey Manager update, which is available now and brings the game to version 1.4. The update fixes reported issues and improves game play. You can get the download links and details about the fixes in the forum post by FHM producer Jeff Riddolls.

iOOTP Update in the Works

Our iOOTP development team is working hard to add Retina and native iPhone 5 support to iOOTP Baseball 2013, the update will be released later this year.
