We're looking ahead to OOTP 14 and iOOTP 2013, and in the process, we discovered a way to improve the font rendering in OOTP 13, so we released an update, 13.10, which does that and enhances a few other things.

Making Lemonade Out of Lockout Lemons With the PBDL

OOTP player Nick Genova decided to make the best of the NHL lockout by creating the Premier Baseball Dynasty League (PBDL), an alternate history in which NHL team owners licensed their clubs' logos to a new baseball league after the 2012-13 season was cancelled. The PBDL is broken into Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers, with a promotion and relegation system that's similar to British soccer. The New York Rangers won the 2013 Gold Championship and the 2014 playoffs are underway as you read this.

"We are still in the early days of the PBDL, so I'm sure there will be many more incredible feats yet to come, but we've seen a few interesting stories develop early on," Genova told us. Read about them in the latest article on our forum, "Tales From the OOTP Multi-Verse: The NHL-Inspired PBDL."
