Latest OOTP 13 Update Adds New Features to
the "Current Pinnacle of Baseball Sims"
As Stephen Colbert might ask: "Great baseball sim, or greatest baseball sim?"
Reactions to OOTP 13 continue to be off the charts, so we humbly suggest the latter. Here's a small sample of what's been published since we last got in touch:
"Out of the Park Baseball 13 is the single best baseball simulation game ever made. For a baseball fanatic such as myself, OOTP 13 is pure joy." So wrote Sean Gibson at Gaming Illustrated. (Don't forget to check out their video review too.)
Caley Roark at Operation Sports gave OOTP 13 a 9.5 out of 10 score and said: "OOTP 13 represents the current pinnacle of text and baseball sims."
And Kurt Evans at the Cubs blog Goat Riders of the Apocalypse probably summed it up best when he enthused: "OOTP 13 is unbeatable."

We've never been the type to rest on our laurels, though, which is why we released another OOTP 13 update today. It fixes known bugs and adds the features listed below.
- Added the option to place the toolbar at the bottom of the screen (found in the preferences dialog)
- Added "Auto-play to your next game" to the Play menu if the game is in the future
- Added optional latitude & longitude fields to ballpark data, along with the function to show the ballpark in Google Earth (if installed and proper coordinates are set. Make sure you enable 3D buildings in Google Earth!)
- Added the option to disable the automatic season prediction creation (found in game options / reports settings)
- Added the option to import historical rookies as free agents when the first-year player draft is disabled in historical leagues (found in league setup / historical tab)
- You can now pick a color directly from the team logo / league logo in the team color / league color dialogs
- Tweaked contract evaluation AI, so players no longer react to an offer and sign with a different team on the same day
- Improved minor league roster AI when incomplete minors (ghost players) are enabled
- Tweaked development of injury history rating, so short-term injuries have less effect now
To find out whether you're using the latest version of OOTP 13, you can use the "Check for Updates" function in the main game menu. Download the update via the links on our site or on our forum.
Of course, we will continue to work on Out of the Park Baseball 13 and introduce new features via free updates throughout the year.
