Out of the Park Baseball Update 6.10 released, Price dropped to $19.99!
Dear Baseball Fan,

We are proud to announce that the highly anticipated update for OOTP 6 is available, version 6.10!
Also, it is time for our annual tradition, we reduced the price of OOTP 6 to $19.99. If you have not played the game that just recently received an excellent 86% rating in the PC Gamer magazine, then now it's your chance to pick up a bargain.

Download the update now at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/ootp/downloads.php!

Here is the list of fixes and improvements in OOTP version 6.10:

  • Added player transaction status 'designated for assignment'. When making a transaction move that requires the player to clear waivers, he no longer eats a roster spot but is rather designated for assignment. The manager now has 10 days (adjustable in the league setup screen) to assign the player to a roster or release him. Also, when the team sign players or get players in a trade or via a waiver transaction, he is placed in the DFA area and can be assigned from there.
  • Players with MLB contracts now have to be moved to the 40 man roster when signed
  • The AI now puts players on waivers before releasing them
  • The team salary report now lists the remaining service days a player has to collect that year in order to become a free agent or arbitration eligible (if possible)
  • Improved bullpen usage AI
  • Fixed intentional walk AI
  • Fixed guarding the lines AI
  • During a game, The outfielder's position can now be assigned independendly from the infielder's position, so you can for example play the outfield and the infield in at the same time
  • Fixed RBI scoring on plays that involve errors
  • Fixed sac fly involving error scoring
  • Balks are now recorded in game logs
  • Fixed a bug that led to a false substitution after players got ejected in a game
  • Fixed schedule editor bug, where a deleted 6th game caused an overlap of displayed games
  • There will now alway be a ROY, even if no rookie played regularly
  • The game now tracks carer HBP and SF (therefore calculates career OBP and OPS correctly) and career HR allowed for picthers
  • Adjusted player contract demands AI, preventing cheats by switching positions/role
  • Adjusted the playoff seeding to MLB rules, so that divsion leading teams do not meet the wildcard in the first round if they are in the same divsion. Homefield advantage has also been adjusted.
  • Teams in wildcard contention will no longer suffer from drops of fan interest
  • CSV roster export no longer contains ghost players (deleted players)
  • Fixed pitcher editor when the old game engine is enabled
  • Adjusted aging and player development
  • Fixed a bug that caused the AI to value players significantly lower than justified due to bad performance
  • Fixed numerous PbP glitches
  • Fixed a rare bug that assigned minor league contracts to players who signed real contracts during FA period
  • Fixed a bug that prevented a player, who was taken in the rule 5 draft, being activated from the 60 day DL
  • Fixed CSV importing of running ratings
  • Minor league games are now simmed correctly when an online league imports played games
  • Minor league free agency now works consistently, and also minor league contract extensions have no effetc now if the player becomes a minor league free agent
  • Sometimes players signed for an obvious worse offer during FA compared to previous offers, that has been fixed
  • The chance of career minor leaguers suddenly becoming regular MLB players has been decreased
  • Fixed pitching rotation (on strict order) use in the playoffs if the scheduled starter is injured
  • Enhanced in-game AI, for example shuffling defense and pitcher's batting slots after PH
  • Fixed promotion days importing problems
  • When importing a team in an online league, waiver moves now generate news entries
  • Players on 60 day DL now import correctly in online leagues
  • Fixed serpentine draft pick history
  • Fixed a bug that caused a coach's remaining salary to be paid by the team when he retired
  • Fixed a bug that caused a player to complain about playing time when the reason was that he spent time on the DL
  • Fixed a bug where a free agent would not sign for what he asked during the season
  • Adjusted the importing of OOTP 5 leagues
  • Added the option to display ratings that are higher than 100 (league setup screen)
  • Added the option to prevent AI teams from releasing and signing players in replay mode (league setup screen, misc. setup)
  • Fixed Windows XP Service Pack 2 related crashing problems when finishing a game with sound on
  • Fixes numerous really small glitches

You can install either the patch or the full version. Both include all previous patches and will NOT overwrite your existing databases. Nevertheless we always suggest that you make a backup of your *.lg directories before you install a patch.

We feel that this update takes the game to a whole new level. Find out for yourself now!
