Final Patch Ready for Title Bout Championship Boxing!
The definitive patch for Title Bout has arrived, addressing all the remaining requests and fixing those tenacious little bugs that tried to hide among the thousands of lines of codes. However, with the invaluable help of play-testers and fans alike, the Title Bout Championship Boxing development team has managed to eradicate all remaining problems. The following list details the changes, additions and fixes that have gone into this patch.
- Swelling has been reworked. Swelling will now take into consideration the round being fought, will increase slower,
and (while still affecting the fighter’s ability to perform) will not lead to a stoppage nearly as often.
- Scoring has been addressed once more and the tweaks should produce fewer anomalies and, on the whole, be much more accurate.
Please keep in mind that using rated judges can have a strong affect on the scoring of a given round.
- Graphics and screens for title belts have been added for your use.
- Added "New Champion" screen to the post-fight screens.
- Jabs will no longer cause knockdowns and knockouts.
- The fouls and disqualification algorithms has been tweaked. The overall effect should produce more warnings but
fewer point deductions and disqualifications should rarely occur.
- Added “Title History” to the titles record screen.
- The scheduler can now be stopped with the “Cancel” button.
- The “he” bug has been fixed. The ambiguity that was arising due to the pronoun usage has been eliminated.
- The bug that occurred when attempting to edit a title name has been eliminated.
- A bug in the scheduler that prevented the “Update Records” setting being saved has been exterminated!
- Fixed some minor bugs: (1)when you save a new fighter record, his Overall Rating will be calculated immediately;
(2)the bug caused by parenthesis in nation names has been fixed; (3) the wagers module calculates the wagers, wins and loses correctly now;
(4) the "RareOccuranceStoppageDecisionRule pulldown box" bug has been fixed; (5) first names will be used less often in bout commentary;
(6) sometimes disqualification happened directly after a foul warning but this will no longer occur;
(7) the "Generic Cut Man" has improved default ratings now; (8) when the punching accuracy reaches 100%, the game will no longer
display it as 0%.
You can install either the patch or the full version. Both include all previous patches and will NOT overwrite your existing databases.
Nevertheless we always suggest that you make a backup of your /data directory before you install a patch. Please use the download links at
the bottom of this page.
Important note for Title Bout Championship Boxing players:
We strongly suggest that you set the ratings for "Reduce Swelling" and "Close Cuts" of the "Generic Cut Man" record to 7 (seven) in your existing
databases. The game has been tested with these settings. If you set these ratings to very low values, bouts will be stopped due to swellings
too often, as it should be with such an unqualified cut man :)
