Paul Thorne
Would someone be so kind as to make him for me. Boxrec #001175.
Anyone who listens to Bob and Tom will know who this guy is. He is a singer/songwriter in the Todd Snider type genre. His songs are serious but funny. He is most known on B&T for a song called "It's a Great Day" which finishes with "... for me to whup somebody's ass". I added a pic and an article from when he fought Roberto Duran. He said today on B&T that his record was 17-3, so boxrec is incomplete, the article also lists him at 13-3. Club fighter but was tough, definitely a bleeder. Here's a crack at him:
PAUL THORNE WW 1985-1988 Hometown - Tupelo, Mississippi (Birthplace of the King) 9(4)-2-1 Showed some heart in giving an out-of-shape Roberto Duran more of a fight than he bargained for when the two met in 1988. Thorne was losing on all three cards when the fight was stopped in the sixth due to all the blood in the ring, most of it Thorne's.

Here's one fight I ran, kind of grainy. Thorne got beat up, won one round, they both had a knock-down and it ended in the seventh.
