Hey y'all,

Looking for cards, topps, for the following years 1976-1980. If anyone is interested in helping out a brother, I would be greatly indebted.

I made the 1977 Topps already, you can get it over at the ootpmods site or from mediafire - 1977 Topps.zip
Tiensberg made the 1979 Topps - http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...plete-set.html

I have all the pics of the 1976 Topps that I'd need to make it, but I haven't gotten around to it.

The cursive font for the team name on the 1978 card wouldn't be exactly the same but the rest of the card doesn't look to hard. For the 1980 card the team name area and text would have to be horizontal instead of angled and if I could find 10 somewhat generic comics on the back to cut out I'd include them otherwise I'd just make the stats area wider.

I might be able to start on them Thur or Fri, we'll see.

Go to the \bbcards\templates\ootp12 folder and backup the xml's and images folder, just in case. Replace them with the xml's and images folder from my zip file.

Another way is to add the year you want the card to be made at the end of the xml file names, default_year, hof_year, etc.... The game checks for specific year 1st (default_1976 will only be used in 1976), decade 2nd (default_197 will be used each year from 1970 to 1979 unless there a specific year) and then the regular default, hof, etc... named files.

An example, if you start a historical league in 1976, you can download the 76, 77 and 79 Topps templates, add the specific years to the xml file names like above and place them in the \bbcards\templates\ootp12 folder and all the graphic files in the images folder (leave the OOTP default files there). When you sim from 1976 thru the end of 1979, the cards made in 76, 77 and 79 will use the 76, 77 and 79 templates respectively while the 1978 season will use the regular OOTP default template.

When did that happen! Is that new to 13? That's awesome!

So if we want one style to be used from 1900-1935 we need a default for 190_, 191_, 192_, 1930_, 1931_, 1932_, 1933_, 1934_, 1935_?

You could do it back in OOTP 11, I would think you could still do it like this in 12 (i skipped 12). In your example depending on 1936-1939 you could also do _193 and have _1936, _1937, _1938 and _1939. The individual years would take precedence over the decade one.

I need to make a correction to my previous post though, the year goes at the end of the file name, ie. default_1976.xml. I've edited my previous post.

Hasn't been made yet. Here's a list of the card template sets that have been created so far (that I know of) and who made them. Some can be downloaded from ootpmods and some you'll have to search around this sub-forum for. If you can find a post by BMW he used to have links to some of the threads in his sig. Whether or not the links for any of the templates still work or not, I don't know (except for mine, they're all still active).
