How do you stay signed in to OOTP forums?

Even though I tell our forum site to "remember" me, it doesn't sign me in automatically the next time I arrive. And, if I keep the forum window open but don't do anything, it signs me out automatically after several minutes. I have to sign back in again.

I iz annoyed...

Any advice? Thanks.

Do you have cookies turned off?

I have stayed signed in for a couple of years now. The only time it changes is when I do something to the cookies.

Thanks RchW, but yes my cookies are allowed in Firefox. I have no problems logging in at other sites, just here. Is there a way to allow the OOTP cookies in my User CP here? I don't see it.

When you log in there is a check mark box that keeps you logged in (I think). Do you see that?

Edit

The box says Remember me.

Yes, I've used that. Doesn't work.

This isn't a life-changing issue -- just an annoyance. Thank you for the effort. I'll give you one of these newfangled "thank yous".

I'll just have to accept that the OOTP Forum gods are hinting that they don't like me being logged in here.

Whether it's Firefox or IE, there is often a setting that either clears the temp files and the cookies when exiting the browser or both. You may want to check to see if your cookies are being deleted when closing your browser.

In addition, if you have an accessory maintenance programs that run at intervals, e.g. CCleaner, make sure those are not deleting your cookies either. In either event, RchW is correct, to my knowledge it's a cookie issue. Something's erasing your OOTP association.

You probably already know this, but here's the section in Firefox. Maybe it was reset at some point.

Sorry to hi jack this thread but where is the options for cookies on Firefox 3.5? I cannot seem to find any options. I have the same problem except it's on every site I go to.

I've had this problem with the previous firefox as well. I went to that spot where the cookies are and they are all enabled but I'm never logged into a site.

I had this same trouble—I had to re-login to the OOTP forums every time I visited. I don't know what I did to specifically fix it—it must have been corrected when I installed a new version of the browser at some point.
