Player Rating Bug

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but thought it may be so wanted to post it. Prince Fielder, who had an MVP-caliber season in 2015, is a 1-star rating in the beginning of 2016. He is only 31 and had no injury that would've caused this drastic regression.

Impossible to say without having a look at your league file. Maybe your scout simply does not like him.

I noticed the same thing with Fielder in 2016. With scouting @ 100% accuracy, Fielder is rated 1-1/2 stars.

My scout and OSA both rate him at 1-star. I would upload my league files for further info, but I don't know how to do so.

I'm looking at the 2016 Orioles. The starting rotation has one pitcher with 2 stars, one pitcher with 1-1/2 stars, one pitcher with 1 star, and 2 pitchers with 1/2 star. At the trade deadline, the Orioles have the second-worst ERA in the league. Yovani Gallardo is one of the 1/2-star pitchers. Could that be a mistake?

Doesn't seem like it. FanGraphs projects the Orioles starting pitchers to finish last in the AL in both ERA and WAR this season, which is basically what you're seeing in the game.

Maybe a little low. Doesn't seem too crazy to me though, last year he was just a 2 WAR player with declining peripherals who's now on the wrong side of 30.

Fielder and Gallardo were simply way underrated in the roster set.

Which isn't to say Gallardo will be great now. But he was rated as a borderline AAA guy. He'll be better than that now for sure.
